No time limits!

Are you worried about not having enough time for the photo session, or stressed that your horse might not cooperate and we’ll run out of time if you book a 30 or 60 minute shoot?

Well, don’t worry! I don’t set specific time limits on my sessions (within reason of course!).

I’m obsessed with horses and photography and there’s nothing I enjoy more than taking the time we need to create gorgeous images. I only book one portrait session in a day. It’s all about you and your horse(s); no rushing, no pressure. This allows time for your horse to take breaks when necessary, so that they don’t get stressed or over-excited.

Sessions generally last from 1 - 2 hours but can be longer depending on various factors, such as:

• Number of horses and humans in the portrait session.

• Time of day of the session.

• How many ideas we come up with - it’s very much “go with the flow”.

• What the final product will be. For example, if you’re ordering an album we’ll want a good variety of photos to effectively tell the story of your horse - from the big environmental portraits to the little details that reflect your horse’s unique personality and your special connection.

Creativity and Collaboration

We’ll have total flexibility to play around and experiment. We’ll brainstorm in advance about what images you want but we’ll also collaborate on location as we explore all the possibilities to create unique images.

For example, did I once do portraits on a huge manure pile, covered in fluffy winter snow that looked like a pretty mountain? Sure did! Had we planned that in advance? Sure didn’t, lol. But it turned out beautifully and you’d never know what we were standing on ;)
